Snowy Owls
Home learning activities and opportunities.
If your child is off school self isolating but not sick please ensure they log on to Google Classroom. There will be English and maths activities for them to complete to maintain their learning. If access to a computer is a problem, please contact the office. We are more than happy to put a paper pack of work together for your child.
Things they can also do:
* Practice times tables, both out loud and writing them down.
* Log on to TT-Rockstars and practice sound check every day
* Revise the spelling words we have covered so far this year.
* Practice spellings on spelling shed.
* Read every day.
Welcome to the Snowy Owls!
In the Snowy Owls our teacher is Mrs Bedford. Our TA for this year is the amazing Mrs George.
Our Essential Question for the Autumn term is, "How did children KEEP CALM and CARRY ON during WW2?"
Throughout this unit of work children will be asked to put themselves in the shoes of a child in World War II, who is being evacuated from London to the countryside. Children will draw comparisons between their lives and those of evacuee children. They will also draw comparisons between city and country life then and now. We will have lot's of fun along the way making our own paper gas masks and even toys from simple materials!
