Snowy Owls

Home learning activities and opportunities.

Now that the Google Classroom details have been posted out to all families, please could you ensure you are regularly logging on and completing activities. We have produced several English and Maths activities to be covered daily if possible, plus other topic and well-being activities. We often update our Twitter feed with other ideas too.

If you are experiencing difficulties getting logged in, sending a direct message via the Twitter feed is probably the quickest way to communicate outside Google Classroom.

Things you can also do:

* Practice your times tables, both out loud and writing them down.

* Log on to TT-Rockstars and practice sound check every day

* Revise the spelling words we have covered so far this year (see link below)

* Practice spellings on spelling shed.

* Read every day.

Make sure you check back here and follow our Twitter feed for lots of other ideas and activities.

Welcome to the Snowy Owls!

In the Snowy Owls our teacher is Mr Pitt. Our TA for this year is the amazing Mrs Backhouse.

Our Essential Question for the Spring term is "Are today's children  losing touch with nature?"

After reading some media articles that claim that children have lost touch with nature, we have decided to put the record straight!

We will be learning about plants and animals, including their different features, roles and needs. We will also be finding out about land use in our local area, across Suffolk, and comparing with other parts of the world, including Alaska. We will find out about we as human beings are impacting the natural world in both positive and negative ways.

We will look at inspirational figures, such as David Attenborough and Greta Thunberg, and thinking about how we can have a positive influence
