Suffolk's Hardship Fund

The Parish of Whitton with Thurleston Akenham - Suffolk's Hardship Fund

The Parish Church has been awarded a small grant from the above fund to distribute to families in our area who are currently finding themselves in need of some immediate support to alleviate hardship.

Do you, or do you know someone who requires help now with any of the following areas of support that this funding covers?

The funding is to help with the following:

la Those struggling to meet monthly household bills, whilst wait for Universal Credit payments

  1. Those recently housed and in need of support for their home or food/energy
  2. To meet emergency repairs
  3. To cover additional transport costs

It CANNOT be used to fund technological equipment/large items of furniture/white goods as these can be sourced through the Local Welfare Assistance (I-WA) scheme. If anyone should require white goods or large items of furniture, then they can apply via the I-WA scheme (Citizens Advice have access to this scheme)

If you need help please contact Rev. Mary Sokanovic

Telephone 07824 323073 or email marysokanovic@outlook.com
